When the market ends, how do the results of the event connect to the market? For general topics like elections or games the official results are released by an institution. How do you keep track of more particular or non-institutional cases?

It’s up to the market managers to find the information out. For example, I’ve set up an Apprentice UK market for who will win, and I watch the show, and close the stock of each losing contestant as they are Fired. I’ll do the same when we get to the final. There’s no automatic method of updating the market, as far as I know.
