Interesting idea.

Abandoned accounts might counter some of the inflation, but presumably winning traders are less likely to abandon accounts and therefore the amount of inklings in inactive accounts is probably relatively small. If traders in the aggregate lose money in a stock, Inklings are also sucked out. But each market does have the potential to add to the total number of inklings in circulation, and each new account does too.

Of course “inkling inflation” would depend both on inkling supply and velocity of ‘spending,’ but not clear what that means in this case.

It sounds like you are interested in whether your share of the overall ‘inkling pie’ is growing or not, which may be a good performance measure.
